OPI - Louvre me & A-England Jane Morris

OPI's Louvre me Louvre me not was wonderful on its own, but after a couple of days of wearing it on its own I got this urge to stamp it with a colour of the same shade. I chose A-England's Jane Morris and I am so happy I did. They complemented each other so perfectly! Under direct light Jane Morris, a complex holographic, shined like no other and its purple flecks glimmered, while in the shade the blue flash it has more more prominent. The plate I used is Born Pretty - 05.

I had seen a dotted tattoo like this somewhere and wanted to imitate that to show you how similar Colourpop - Zipper lipstick is to Louvre me. I love this lipstick so much, I'll review it within the next couple of weeks so watch out for it!

Αφού φόρεσα το OPI's Louvre me Louvre me not για δύο μέρες και το ευχαριστήθηκα μόνο του, ήθελα πάρα πολύ να του κάνω κάποια στάμπα σε παρόμοιο χρώμα. Διάλεξα το Jane Morris της A-England, ένα υπέροχο ολογραφικό μανό, και ταίριαξαν τόσο πολύ! 

Οι μωβ βούλες έγιναν με το κραγιόν Colourpop - Zipper για να σας δείξω πόσο μοιάζει στο μανό. Εννοείται πως τα φόραγα μαζί. Το έχω αγαπήσει τόσο αυτό το κραγιόν. Θα γράψω γι'αυτό σύντομα!

Quelque chose un peu romantique

Something a little bit romantic for today, a subtle play with colours and patterns inspired by a yukata kimono.

Για σήμερα σας έχω κάτι ρομαντικό, ένα παιχνίδι με απαλά χρώματα και διαφορετικά σχέδια εμπνευσμένο από ένα καλοκαιρινό βαμβακερό κιμονό.

Starfish Protoreaster linckii manicure

When I was little, way before I could read, my parents bought Jacques-Yves Cousteau's encyclopedia. I was captivated by the images of all the beautiful and colourful sea creatures, their colours were so bright, so vivid! The one I remember most is this white and red starfish, the Protoreaster linckii, so naturally I had to make a manicure like it. 

I dislike bright white polish so I made a milder white by mixing it with clear polish (1:4). The stamp is from Born Pretty and the red polish & stamp is my classic Essie Fishnet Stockings. What a gem of a colour!

Having had a look at many sea creatures in order to find the name of this starfish, I was inspired to do more summer manis! We'll see where this leads! 

Όταν ήμουν μικρή, πολύ πριν μάθω να διαβάζω, οι δικοί μου είχαν πάρει την εγκυκλοπέδια του Κουστώ. Την θυμάμαι σαν τώρα γιατί την λάτρευα! Σκαρφάλωνα για να πάρω στα χέρια μου τους πολύτιμους τόμους γεμάτους με φανταχτερά πλάσματα με υπέροχα χρώματα. Ένα από αυτά τα πλάσματα είναι και ο αστερίας Protoreaster linckii του οποίου το αψεγάδιαστο στυλ έπρεπε να μεταφράσω σε μανικιούρ.

Το έντονο λευκό δεν μ'αρέσει οπότε αραίωσα ένα λευκό της Brooklin σε αναλογία 1:5 με διάφανο. Η στάμπα είναι της Born Pretty και το κόκκινο είναι το πολυτραγουδισμένο Essie Fishnet Stockings. Μα τι χρώμα!

Ψάχνοντας για τον αστερία είδα πολλά ακόμα υπέροχα πλάσματα της θάλασσας και νομίζω θα κάνω και άλλα εξωτικά μανικιούρ.

Merry (flawed) Christmas!

Merry Christmas, dear followers! 

I wasn't going to post this mani cause it's got so many flaws, but I actually like it very much. It was initially a much simpler deal, just a white christmassy stamp on 3/5 nails in each hand. Before I had the chance to take a picture of it though I managed to break my index fingernail. Instead of trying to hide it, I decided to embrace&embellish it with glitter chards. The glitter chards are not meant for cosmetic use which makes them a bit uncomfortable, but it sparkles like pieces of ice or the Snow Queen's broken mirror and that's all that matters! I even used it on one more finger cause I liked it so much and had gotten the hang of how this. 

I know the holidays are not the best of times for everybody, but there's abundant love & support if you need it only a google search away. I hope you have a heart-warming time today!

Χρόνια πολλά, αναγνώστριες κι αναγνώστες!

Σκόπευα να μην ανεβάσω αυτό το μανικιούρ γιατί έχει πολλά ελαττώματα, αλλά η αλήθεια είναι πως μ'αρέσει πολύ ακόμα και με τα ελαττώματά του. Το αρχικό σχέδιο ήταν πολύ πιο απλό αλλά μία κακή καρέκλα προσγειώθηκε στο χέρι μου και μου έσπασε το νύχι του δείκτη. Αντί να προσπαθήσω να το καλύψω αποφάσισα να το στολίσω και έτσι του κόλλησα κομμάτια ασύμμετρου γκλίτερ. Επειδή δεν είναι φτιαγμένο για χρήση σε καλλυντικά είναι λίγο άβολο, αλλά λαμποκοπά σαν τον σπασμένο καθρέφτη της Βασίλισσας του Χιονιού. Μ'άρεσε τόσο πολύ που έβαλα κομμάτια και σε άλλο ένα δάχτυλο. Δεν γινόταν να σταματήσω πάνω που είχα μάθει πώς να τα βάζω πιο καλά!

Οι γιορτές δεν είναι η πιο εύκολες μέρες για όλους, αλλά υπάρχει αγάπη και στήριξη για όλους που μπορείτε να τη βρείτε ακόμα και με μία αναζήτηση στο google. Ελπίζω να περάσετε όμορφα σήμερα!

This one was badly affected by top coat(Seche Vite) shrinkage.
Για το όχι καλό τελείωμα φταίει το top coat(Seche Vite) που τα κάνει αυτά όταν έχει χάσει τις πτητικές του ουσίες.
