Comparison/Σύγκριση: Bioderma Sensibio H20 vs Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water

Micellar water cleansers have taken the beauty world by storm and rightly so- they are so gentle on the skin, efficient and quite cheap. I don’t cleanse with Micellar water at the end of the day as I prefer to double cleanse, however,  I keep one on my dressing table for corrections which is why I prefer to get the mini sizes. I  usually get the Bioderma Sensibio H20 and hadn't tried the Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water before, but I saw a mini version at the supermarket of all places and thought I'd grab one and do a comparison.

The Bioderma mini is 100ml and I got it for about 5€, the Garner mini is 125ml and I got it for 2.50€, half the price for more product? Sounds good so far.

Η αγορά έχει γεμίσει τα τελευταία χρόνια με νερά καθαρισμού Micellar- και καλώς έχει συμβεί αυτό. Είναι ήπια στο δέρμα, φτηνά και κάνουν σωστά στη δουλειά τους. Δεν τα χρησιμοποιώ για να αφαιρέσω όλο μου το μακιγιάζ γιατί προτιμώ το σύστημα του διπλού καθαρισμού, αλλά έχω πάντα ένα κοντά μου για να κάνω μικρές διορθώσεις στο μακιγιάζ γι'αυτό το λόγο προτιμώ να παίρνω τα μίνι μπουκαλάκια. Συνήθως παίρνω το Bioderma Sensibio H20, αλλά τις προάλλες είδα στο supermarket το Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water σε μικρή συσκευασία και είπα να το πάρω και να κάνω μία σύγκριση.

To Bioderma Sensibio H20 κόστιζε περίπου 5 ευρώ και περιέχει 100mp, ενώ το Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water έκανε περίπου 2.5 ευρώ για 125ml. 

For comparison purposes my mascara was non-water resistant mascara. I used the same type of large cotton pads and did symmetrical movements in order to remove my make up. I really couldn't tell or feel any difference. Both sides felt and looked equally clean.

Η μάσκαρα που χρησιμοποιησα για τη σύγκριση είναι μη αδιάβροχη. Νότισα μεγάλες βαμβακερές ροδέλες και έκανα συμμετρικές κινήσεις για να αφαιρέσω το μακιγιάζ. Ούτε φαινόταν ούτε και ένιωθα κάποια διαφορά. Και οι δύο πλευρές ήταν το ίδιο καθαρές.

Then I went ahead and used a second cotton pad on each side only this time I swapped products to see if one could remove anything more from the other’s side. The Bioderma seems to have removed a few crumbs of mascara from the Garnier side, but the difference is minimal and could be down to factors other than the product.

'Ύστερα χρησιμοποίησα και δεύτερη νοτισμένη ροδέλα, αλλά αυτή τη φορά άλλαξα τις πλευρές στις οποίες χρησιμοποίησα το κάθε προϊόν για να δω αν το ένα είχε να αφαιρέσει κάτι παραπάνω απ'την πλευρά του άλλου. Το Bioderma φαίνεται να έχει αφαιρέσει λίγη μάσκαρα παραπάνω απ'την πλευρά της Garnier, αλλά η διαφορά είναι πολύ μικρή και μπορεί να είναι συμπτωματική, να μην οφείλεται στο προϊόν δηλαδή.

One thing I liked better was Bioderma’s dispenser. Though both are similar, the Bioderma dispenses less product which gives you a better control of the quantity you want to use. Another thing some might need to consider is that the Sensibio is more travel-friendly as it's right on the 100ml limit for liquids in your carry-on luggage. 

All in all, I think both are equally good. I've been using the Garnier for the 3 weeks since I've done the comparison and I have nothing to report. It's nice to know there are more options out there!

Μία μικρή διαφορά βρήκα στο πώμα. Της Bioderma έχει μικρότερη τρυπίτσα οπότε βγάζει λιγότερο κι έχω καλύτερο έλεγχο της ποσότητας που θέλω να χρησιμοποιήσω. Κάτι που επίσης αξίζει να σημειωθεί για όσους ταξιδεύουν συχνά είναι πως το Bioderma είναι ακριβώς στο όριο των 100ml που έχουν οι αεροπορικές εταιρίες για συσκευασίες υγρών σε χειραποσκευή, ενώ της Garnier το ξεπερνά.

Συνολικά βρήκα τα δύο προϊόντα το ίδιο καλά. Έχουν περάσει 3 βδομάδες από τότε που έκανα τη σύγκριση, χρησιμοποιώ το νερό της Garnier και δεν έχω κάποια άλλη παρατήρηση να κάνω. Είναι ευχάριστο το να υπάρχουν περισσότερες επιλογές αξιόπιστων προϊόντων στην αγορά.
