Year of the Rooster! Η χρονιά του κόκορα!

A mani with a year of the rooster theme in mind. Roosters in Japanese mythology are distant relatives of the mythical Phoenix so a golden feather seemed more than appropriate for the occasion. The golden feather is a water decal. I'd never tried water decals before, but it was very easy to do.

Φέτος είναι χρονιά του κόκορα σύμφωνα με το σεληνιακό ημερολόγιο και έκανα ένα σχετικό σχέδιο. Οι κόκορες στην ιαπωνική μυθολογία είναι μακρινοί συγγενείς οπότε ένα χρυσό φτερό ήταν ότι έπρεπε. Το φτερό ήταν σαν χαλκομανία με νερό. Δεν είχα χρησιμοποιήσει ξανά κάτι τέτοιο, αλλά το βρήκα πολύ εύκολο στη χρήση.

Merry (flawed) Christmas!

Merry Christmas, dear followers! 

I wasn't going to post this mani cause it's got so many flaws, but I actually like it very much. It was initially a much simpler deal, just a white christmassy stamp on 3/5 nails in each hand. Before I had the chance to take a picture of it though I managed to break my index fingernail. Instead of trying to hide it, I decided to embrace&embellish it with glitter chards. The glitter chards are not meant for cosmetic use which makes them a bit uncomfortable, but it sparkles like pieces of ice or the Snow Queen's broken mirror and that's all that matters! I even used it on one more finger cause I liked it so much and had gotten the hang of how this. 

I know the holidays are not the best of times for everybody, but there's abundant love & support if you need it only a google search away. I hope you have a heart-warming time today!

Χρόνια πολλά, αναγνώστριες κι αναγνώστες!

Σκόπευα να μην ανεβάσω αυτό το μανικιούρ γιατί έχει πολλά ελαττώματα, αλλά η αλήθεια είναι πως μ'αρέσει πολύ ακόμα και με τα ελαττώματά του. Το αρχικό σχέδιο ήταν πολύ πιο απλό αλλά μία κακή καρέκλα προσγειώθηκε στο χέρι μου και μου έσπασε το νύχι του δείκτη. Αντί να προσπαθήσω να το καλύψω αποφάσισα να το στολίσω και έτσι του κόλλησα κομμάτια ασύμμετρου γκλίτερ. Επειδή δεν είναι φτιαγμένο για χρήση σε καλλυντικά είναι λίγο άβολο, αλλά λαμποκοπά σαν τον σπασμένο καθρέφτη της Βασίλισσας του Χιονιού. Μ'άρεσε τόσο πολύ που έβαλα κομμάτια και σε άλλο ένα δάχτυλο. Δεν γινόταν να σταματήσω πάνω που είχα μάθει πώς να τα βάζω πιο καλά!

Οι γιορτές δεν είναι η πιο εύκολες μέρες για όλους, αλλά υπάρχει αγάπη και στήριξη για όλους που μπορείτε να τη βρείτε ακόμα και με μία αναζήτηση στο google. Ελπίζω να περάσετε όμορφα σήμερα!
